We've taken the plunge and put both kids in the same room. Adam (3) sleeps through anything, but Emma (1) wakes up at the drop of a pin sometimes. Tonight Adam discovered dinosaurs in his pyjamas or something and of course woke her ladyship.
Pretty chuffed with myself though. It only took 90seconds for the screaming to stop and Emma to go to sleep :-) I'm a bit of a soft touch so would usually spend an hour rocking her and singing songs. I forgot all about doing this with Adam.
Everything is a bit snore at the mo'. I'm excited that Adobe just released the final version of Lightroom 2 It's one of those pieces of software that actually works. Trouble with something as monumental is now I have to wade through all my blogs telling me it's released and repeating all the features. That happened with the iPhone. Engadget actually offered a feed without any mention of the iPhone.
I'm not good with witty signs off so see you la...../

My first blog
Well it's happened... I've finally come to the realisation that blogging works. You see since I first heard the word 'blog' I've come to plainy ignore what anyone has to say. BB (Before Blogging) I was used to visiting the trusted websites to get all my information, without realising that all that stuff was writing by people that probably just wanted to get it online and carry on with their day jobs. Then Google came along with that pesky Google reader - that'll never catch on!. So now, as Google Reader tells me, "From your 210 subscriptions, over the last 30 days you read 4,649 items, starred 41 items, shared 0 items, and emailed 11 items". All I do now is read blogs!! I can't remember the last time I visited one of my trusted bookmarks. Google Reader is like asking you wife to go over to the TV and get the remote for you to change channels, ultimate laziness.
OK so now I'm just talking crap... not a good way to start off I'm sure.
My desperate need for Google Reader was apparent this weekend when, god forbid, I was without the Internet for 51hrs (13m, 43s). I have just changed ISPs and didn't have
the details for the new one. So instead of spending Saturday reading about more crap online. I actually got out and took some photos. Auckland's biggest storm in a decade hit and I couldn't pass up the chance to get totally soaked and potentially ruin my camera. But caution was thrown, clothes were wet, and I got some great shots too.
I was one of a dozen photographic idiots waiting for big waves to crash up. I've since found that my non-waterproof Nikon D80 is quite repellent to water. Good on ya Nikon! I've sent these into the local rag so I'll be looking in the paper tomorrow
Phew, post # 1. Not to long I hope, thank you for reading this far...
